AORA meaning Golden Light and the origin of the word Aura was a healer in Egypt as well as other realms of mythology including Greece. These cards came to the author through lucid dreaming. The deck is a little more expensive then tarot cards but these large gorgeous and intuitive cards are well worth it. The imagery and coloration leaves you wanting to stare at the cards for hours. The Oracle is based on the healing properties and energies that come from gemstones. This deck gives great readings and is a must for anyone who enjoys working with crystals and gemstones.

The Faeries Oracle
Author –Jessica Macbeth
Illustrator – Brian Froud
Publisher – Simon & Schuster 2000

Card Size/Feel – 3”x5” – Cards are shiny but not too slippery. They are thin but feel sturdy making them flexible and easy to shuffle. The backs of each card have an illustration of “The Topsie Turvets” which are cute faces in the knots of trees. Backs are reversible.
This Oracle takes us into the Fae Land of the forest. It was illustrated by the same talented Brian Froud who also brought us Dark Crystal and Labyrinth. Many of the cards are very atmospheric and have a glow to them. The card is meant to work with the readers intuitions and the creators strongly urge the reader to first sit back and write down what the card means prior to reading the book. These cards do have a tendency to talk to you and the book is not really needed. Strong color work with the addition of fairies, elves, pixies and all kinds of woodland creatures makes this deck loveable for nearly everyone.
Author/Illustrator – Lew Hartman
Published by US Games, 1998

Card Size/Feel – 4 ½” x 2 ¾” – Cards are smooth and flexible. Not overly shiny, easy to shuffle for any hands.
This deck is not really an Oracle or Tarot but used for self discovery and enlightenment. The backs of each card look like etched wood and have a howling wolf with a Native American border. Each card itself has a thin white border as well as the etched wood “Frame”. Each card has a realistic illustration of a real animal (no dragons etc here) as well as a caption of what they are. Animals range from Gray Wolves, Wood Ducks and Jaguars to Elks and Turtles. Artist says these are based on change in our lives from the major changes to the mundane day to day changes. He designed these cards to help develop self awareness, inspiration and inner balance. Lovely cards that are meant to have you draw meaning from the animals and their place/meaning as well as hold that energy pattern with you through the day.
